Aloha
Makawao Public House pays tribute to the rich heritage of our historic Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) town, and the ingredients, flavors and stories that have created Hawaii’s unique food culture.
As a local establishment, we know who you are. We’re invested in creating a dining experience that brings you comfort and joy, while celebrating our roots and providing unparalleled hospitality.
At MPH, we're committed to being a gathering place for all generations – where memories are made.
A public house is long for “pub” because it originally referred to a place where the general public could gather and socialize. In the past, public houses were typically owned by individuals or families and served as a meeting place for locals to drink, eat, and relax.
We offer both traditional favorites and a few unorthodox dishes that pay homage to the past while embracing innovation. Come dine with us and experience exceptional flavors, warm hospitality, and a touch of our own unique spin.
We invite you to be part of this exciting chapter as we reinvent the future of dining in Makawao.
